What To Expect At Your Consultation

Your one-on-one personal care initial medical evaluation includes a 60-minute visit for a detailed medical history and review of the patient’s prior medical records.

  • Physical Exam: Including vitals, height, and weight for BMI, EKG (if needed), and order blood work and diagnostic testing if needed.

  • Discussion of medical complications of eating disorders.

  • Consultations to any specialist needed. Examples include cardiology, gastroenterology, endocrinology. Dr. Lemus is in communication with consultants in the community and is confident in her network to provide a high level of care.

  • Communication with the patient’s outpatient team including dietician, psychiatrist, and therapist. If a patient does not have an outpatient team, Dr. Lemus can aid in formulating one, connecting the patient with the right providers for their individual needs.

  • Dr. Lemus will assess if a higher level of care is needed and provide a referral to the appropriate treatment program. Dr. Lemus remains involved with the patient’s intake process.

  • Expect timely responses with Dr. Lemus and direct asses to email.

Follow-up visits are 30 minutes.
