What To Expect At Your Consultation
Your one-on-one personal care initial medical evaluation includes a 60-minute visit for a detailed medical history and review of the patient’s prior medical records.
Physical Exam: Including vitals, height, and weight for BMI, EKG (if needed), and order blood work and diagnostic testing if needed.
Discussion of medical complications of eating disorders.
Consultations to any specialist needed. Examples include cardiology, gastroenterology, endocrinology. Dr. Lemus is in communication with consultants in the community and is confident in her network to provide a high level of care.
Communication with the patient’s outpatient team including dietician, psychiatrist, and therapist. If a patient does not have an outpatient team, Dr. Lemus can aid in formulating one, connecting the patient with the right providers for their individual needs.
Dr. Lemus will assess if a higher level of care is needed and provide a referral to the appropriate treatment program. Dr. Lemus remains involved with the patient’s intake process.
Expect timely responses with Dr. Lemus and direct asses to email.
Follow-up visits are 30 minutes.
